This German Shepherd needs a special home for Christmas!
Today I had a visit from Oso, a beautiful German Shepherd who will soon be available for adoption through Virginia German Shepherd Rescue. This big boy is super sweet and oh so soft! He gets along well with everyone he meets. He is currently living in a foster home with another GSD and three cats.
Oso has a few health concerns which the rescue has been addressing. His previous owners dropped him at the vet for euthanasia, but thankfully the VGSR stepped in and saved him. He is only two years old, but suffers from epilepsy and is partially blind. He’s been seeing a neurologist and his new medication seems to be helping to manage his seizures. He has not had one in more than two weeks.
For a blind dog, Oso gets around really well! We think he can see light and shadow. He has even learned to navigate the stairs in his foster home all by himself. He enjoys being with other dogs and will follow closely along with another dog. He loves his afternoon naps with his kitty siblings!
Oso will need a special family that is willing to help him manage his medical conditions. For more information contact Virginia German Shepherd Rescue
