Coral came all the way from Mississippi!
Today I had a special visitor to the studio. Coral came all the way from Mississippi! Coral was rescued by Paws Rescue, a small foster-based rescue in Vicksburg Mississippi. Paws is the only no kill rescue in their area. They foster out of their homes and survive by donations. Coral was rescued from the city pound, where it is likely that she would not have survived, as she is heartworm positive. Thank goodness Paws was able to take this beautiful girl and get her treated!
Coral is currently being treated for heartworm here in Virginia. As her foster dad is currently on detail in Arlington, Coral is being treated here while staying with her dad. Paws Rescue normally works with other rescue partners in Massachusetts, but hopefully we can either find her a home or a local rescue in Virginia who will take her so she does not have to travel any more.
Her foster parents tell me that Coral loves the water! Her favorite treats are sweet potato chicken chips and she likes to chew on empty Perrier bottles. In the studio, she was just the sweetest girl! Oh, and she is SOOOO SOFT you just want to keep petting her. She is happy to oblige.
If you have a place in your home for Coral, feel free to CONTACT ME and I will put you in touch with her foster parents. Even if you can’t take Coral, please consider donating to Paws Rescue if you are able!
