Shelter dog photography is one of my favorite ways to give back. It always makes me feel good when someone tells me that they saw an image that I created and had to go adopt that animal.  Well I am really hoping that will happen for Raaj because this beautiful boy has been at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter for way too long!

Raaj was a joy to photograph! He is so beautiful with his soulful eyes, teddy bear ears and fluffy tail! He was also a fabulous model. He sat so beautifully right where he was asked to sit!

Raaj gets the award for the best curly-cued tail! It’s SO fluffy and curls over his back just perfectly! Raaj was actually born in Bangladesh and brought to the US as a puppy, and he definitely has a beautifully exotic look to him. But he’s more than just good looks: he’s a very friendly boy who loves getting attention from his people. He is also super smart and knows several basic commands already. He seems to listen very well, so training should be a snap! And even though he’s a pretty young dog, he has a laid back, calm demeanor–maybe he’s just wise beyond his years. Raaj would love to find an adopter who is going to spend lots of time loving on him and won’t leave him alone for long periods… when he’s left alone for too long he likes to sing the song of his people, which might not make neighbors too happy! He’d also prefer to be your one and only dog, and is not a dog who wants to go to dog parks. But with a dog as handsome and smart as he is, why would you want another?! Come see him today!
