Finnegan’s Studio Photo Session
Yesterday I was honored to photograph Finnegan, a sweet young dog who was saved by the generosity of all of the people who contributed to the Friends of the Fairfax County Animals Shelter to fund his surgery. I was honored to donate a studio photo session to help this amazing dog find a home!
Finnegan ended up at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter after being hit by a car. He quickly became a favorite to all who cared for him because of his sweet nature. He needed surgery to repair his leg and to amputate the severely damaged portion of his tail. The FFCAS quickly took action and started a social media campaign to raise the necessary funds. Thanks to the amazing generosity of the community, more than enough money was raised to cover his surgery. The excess will go into a fund to help cover the future needs of other animals. You can find the original Facebook post about Finnegan here.
I am happy to report that Finnegan is doing great! He is still working to regain full use of his left leg, but he can get around pretty well. He is enjoying being pampered by a wonderful foster family who says that he is really like a big puppy. He is fun and energetic and loves people! All through his photo session we had to keep taking breaks so he could come give me kisses, but I did not mind!
Finnegan will be available for adoption soon. For more information on animals currently available for adoption from the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, visit the shelter’s page on Petango.
