When Megan called to say she wanted to do another holiday card, of course I was excited. I had photographed her family the year before and they were so much fun!  Since we had done an outdoor session the last time, we decided to go for some fun in the studio this year.

Once again it would be Megan and her husband, Christian along with their three dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Gamble, a Pit Bull mix named Beau, and Pirate, a Boxer mix who is blind in one eye.  Megan and Christian chose the perfect outfits. The casual look fits their down-to-earth personalities and they chose nice solid colors that go well together without looking like they were trying to match too much.

We got some great shots of the whole family together before we decided to try out a few holiday hats on the dogs.  Beau is game for anything, and he happily modeled a Santa hat, but Pirate and Gamble were less than enthused about wearing anything on their heads. I don’t like to cause animals stress just for the sake of a photograph, so we decided to omit the hats and reindeer antlers.

We got a few more family shots as well as some individual shots of each of the dogs. Megan said they got so many great comments about their holiday card. We are already planning some fun ideas for next year!
