This week I had the pleasure of photographing Chiquita Baby. She’s a sweet girl who is currently available for adoption at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter. Chiquita’s favorite thing to do is look out the window. She had a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter, so she has spent the past few months living with a wonderful foster family that includes a dog. Here is what the shelter staff had to say about her…
Chiquita Baby was surrendered because she was too much of an energetic kitten for the family, and we can tell you that she is definitely still a kitten! She’s not even two years old yet and she’s SO smart. Living in a condo in a shelter just isn’t really her thing, but we can’t blame her. We sent her to foster and she does a 180 in a foster home. She LOVES to watch out windows, explore, cuddle with her people, and just generally observe everything going on. Best news: her foster home had a dog and Chiquita Baby was completely unphased by him! We sort of think that she thinks she’s a dog, stuck in a cat body. If you’re looking for an independent, smart, fun, playful, dog-like and dog-friendly cat, Chiquita Baby is your gal!
Chiquita Baby will be returning to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter this Friday. She is hoping that someone will see past her crabby shelter behavior and understand that she really is a wonderful kitty who just wants to be in a real home.
