Harley is a very special little dog who will definitely steal your heart!  He is very friendly and loves to meet new people. He will happily curl up in your lap.

Harley is only 5 years old, but about a year ago he suffered an injury that left him with a slipped disc and limited use of his back legs.  He had a wheel chair for a while, but the vet recommended against using it, saying it was causing his muscles to weaken even more.  So, with generous financial help from the Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and a dedicated group of shelter volunteers to help him, Harley has been going through physical therapy and is starting to see great improvement.

While he may never have full use of his back legs, Harley doesn’t let this stop him! He is as happy, and energetic as any dog you’ll ever meet. His positive energy is absolutely contagious.  The special person who adopts this boy may have to give him some extra help, but I believe they will be greatly rewarded with all the love and happiness this little boy brings with him!
