Minino’s name comes from the Portuguese word “menino” which is a slang for child or kid.  In many ways he is a big kid.  His foster mom says he loves to play with all kinds of  toys, especially the cat wand and the laser pointer, and he loves to chase just about anything that moves. He also loves to eat as is evidenced by his 23 pound stature.

Minino has not adjusted well to shelter life.  He had been in a foster home where his foster mom said he behaved much better.  He was recently returned to the shelter because his foster family went on an extended trip.  He’s been pretty grumpy ever since he was returned and is really hoping someone will see past his shelter behavior to give him a chance at a real home.For more info on Minino or other pets available for adoption at the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, please visit Petango http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Cat-Domestic-Shorthair-33177965
