Virginia Couple’s Engagement Photo Goes to the Dogs…
Lisa, the mother of the groom to be, had recently done a photo session with her husband and their two dogs along the Bluebell Trail in Manassas VA. The night before her session Lisa’s son had gotten engaged. Once she saw the how beautiful the bluebells were, Lisa knew that she wanted to commemorate her son’s engagement with an engagement photo session at this special location. And to make it even more memorable, they wanted to include the dogs!
Eric and Lauren were a bit uncomfortable at first, as most people are in front of the camera. As soon as they learned that all they had to do was relax, hug, kiss, and have fun with each other, they quickly got into the swing of things! Later Eric told his mother that the session was way more fun than he had expected!
Eric’s dog Sierra is an aging Golden Retriever who has been with Eric since childhood. Lauren’s mixed breed April is an adorable little Mama’s girl. The dogs were not too keen on becoming buddies in the beginning of the session, so each had her individual moment in the spotlight with the couple.
The two dogs proved to be the perfect symbol of families joining together. They showed that although families need time to accept one another, it is possible for harmony between them. After many treats and much attention for the dogs, they were able to sit together nicely and pose for the perfect family portrait to announce their people’s engagement!
Thank you Eric and Lauren for allowing me to create these special memories for you!
